～和紙でちぎり絵ワークショップ by Laki Ohana~Collage of Pieces of Colored Washi Paper～

• ちぎり絵ユニットLaki Ohanaの意味はハワイ語で「幸せな家族」。その名の通りに、ストレッチャーでお母様と一緒に仲良く参加してくれた母娘は、月をモチーフに、「ちぎり係、しっかり！」とか、「貼り係は？」などと楽しそうにおしゃべりしながら素晴らしい作品を完成させました。月が水面にうつる幻想的な作風に、子どもの発想と感性の豊かさに感動した活動でした。和紙が持つ優しい手触りや独特の風合い、そして日本の色に触れながら、ちぎって貼って・・心も落ち着いてくるかのようです。
• Laki Ohana is the unit name of the artists, Masako Hashimoto and Reiko Kuroki, which means ‘a happy family’ in Hawaiian language. A girl on a stretcher and her mother joined the workshop to reate a wonderful work with the moon. With various ideas of tearing washi in pieces and pasting them to a board, they completed a collage with the crescent reflected on the surface of the water. Such a sensitive and beautiful work of art!

～歌のお姉さんとお兄さんがやってくる！~Musical Duo Perforance!～

• おなじみゆう子お姉さんと声優俳優そしてシンガーの翔太お兄さんのユニット、神奈川県立こども医療センター内科系病棟でデビュー！ミュージカルソングあり、お話あり・・。歌と踊りで盛り上がりました！終了後の反省会は真剣。初回をバネにさらに楽しいステージを作るという意気込み。楽しみです！
• Entertainment by a vocal actor and a singer. Some musical songs were sung and their dance to the songs were wonderful!

～眞理さんのミニリサイタル＆何でもリクエスト~Piano & Vocal Recital by Mari-san～

• Internship at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Japan@Japanese Red Cross Medical Center.インターナショナルスクールの素敵な女子高校生が日赤での活動を見学、代表への取材を行いました。 スポンサーであるFCAジャパンによる社会貢献プロジェクト”Share With FIAT”の活動内容ををインターンシップとして体験、SHJの活動を若い学生たちに知ってもらうことにも繋がるいい機会でした。眞理さんの「何でもリクエスト」でのジブリ音楽や「アナ雪」に興奮。乳児院での見学では小さい子どもたちが音楽に乗ってはしゃぐ様子を楽しみながらSHJの活動について熱心に質問してくれました。高校生の職場体験でボランティア活動が選ばれたことは意義あること。でも、小児病棟へ入ること自体がとても難しい事から、今回引き受けてくださった日赤医療センターには感謝するばかりです。小児医療現場の様子とそこに何が必要か、社会に知ってもらうことの難しさを今回改めて感じました。
• Four students of International High School joined the activity for the internship at our sponsor Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Japan at Japanese Red Cross Medical Center pediatrics ward & the infant home. They study how companies are doing with CSR and It’s worth the volunteer activity being chosen for internship for such young students. It was a good chance for them for social study & career experience and for us SHJ to be known our activity in the hospital to young people as well. It’s rather difficult to enter pediatrics ward for those are not patients’ parents but we have to appreciate JRC for providing such experience.

～イラストレーター真鍋麻里さんのお絵かき・塗り絵教室

• オリジナル＆リクエスト塗り絵byイラストレーター真鍋麻里＠神奈川県立こども医療センター外科系幼児学童病棟。アンパンマンの人気は不動。しまじろうも！そして麻里さんオリジナル塗り絵「かぶとむし」は男の子に大人気！
• Coloring is lots of fun! Everyone enjoyed Mari-san’s original coloring and sometimes anime charactors are their request. Those who had to stay in bed were delivered their fiavorite ones by Mari-san.

～にじいろ手がたスタンプアートby絵本作家 坂本和美さん~Rainbow Hand Stamp Art ～

• ベッドに横になりながら手がた、足がたをぺったん、ぺったん。成長の記録にと喜んでくださったお母様たち。マスキングテープなどを使ってデコしてベッドサイドを飾りました。

～いっとくさんの紙芝居~Reader’s Theater by Ittoku-san～

• 紙芝居を通して質問あり、笑いあり、ツッコミ（ほとんど子どもからいっとくさんへ）あり・・。中学生の女子部屋では、初恋のお話「風太の花まつり」を。一番感動していたのはやっぱりいっとくさん。ちょっと引き気味でもそんな姿を見守る女子たち、さすが大人です。
• Through story telling, the teller and audience have fun communication like asking and answering some questions about the stories, comical conversation between a “funny man (Ittoku-san)” and a “straight kids”. These kind of communication makes the ward cheerful and brings children joy.

～眞理さんのミニリサイタル＆何でもリクエスト~Piano &Vocal Recital & Request Show by Mari-san～

• ５月末〜今週にかけて、何と６名+看護師さん１名が誕生日を迎え、眞理さんの素晴らしいピアノ演奏”Happy Birthday to You”をプレゼント。保育士さんも看護師さんも一緒に大合唱のお祝いは超BIG SURPRISE!　大好きな歌もたくさん聴けて、笑顔満載の小児病棟でした。
• There are 6 children and a nurse reaching his/her birthday during this week. They were presented “Happy Birthday to You” of Mari-san’s beautiful singing to her piano. SHJ staffs and nurses around sang together, which became a wonderful chorus and such a big surprise to them! Children enjoyed it with their favorite songs and mothers were so impressed that some started to cry. Most of the other rooms were visited to give a short recital and it was a nice change for them. The ward was filled with children, mothers and staffs’ smile!

～オリジナル塗り絵と塗り絵のリクエストby Mari Manabe~Let’s Enjoy Coloring!～

• お風呂上がりの髪も乾かぬうちに塗り絵に熱中。塗り絵をきっかけに仲良しさんになった同室の女の子同士はこのあとパズルあそびに発展していました。病室では乗り物のリクエストが一番多かった今日。いつもお世話になっている保育士さんには細かい大人の塗り絵の宿題が！８月１０日提出ですよ！！はなまるがもらえるかな？子どもに手伝ってもらうのあり。
• On being shown Mari-san’s drawing, a girl started concentrating into coloring. She didn’t care her hair was still wet after taking a shower. In the private rooms, drawing for coloring vehicle was the most popular today. Two nurses chose one each among Mari-san’s original coloring and they were given them as a homework by Aug. 10th. “You may get some help by kids! “

～子どももおとなもジャズ＆ブルースby Kazuko Ishibashi~Jazz & Blues for kids and Mothers by Kazuko Ishibashi～

• お母様と赤ちゃん、幼児さんのリクエストに応えて「あんぱんまん」や「さんぽ」・・でも一番の人気はKazukoさんのブルース！弾き語りのあとは、Kazukoさんのスキャット（ダバダバ！）をみんなで復唱するコール＆レスポンス。大人の方がかえって難しいと感じてしまう会場一体型の即興ジャズ。子どもはすぐにリズムに乗り、その盛り上がりがナースステーションにまで伝わり、踊り出す看護士さんも！病棟のライブハウス化実現！ 各個室へもライブを届けました。
  和子さんの横にいるのは神奈川県立こども医療センター活動アシスタントの奥村眞智子さん。SHJのニューメンバーです！
• Kazuko sang some chlildren’s song to the piano play like “Ampam-man””Sanpo” but the most popular ones among all the kids and mothers were her blues. After her sang blues numbers to her piano, everyone enjoyed scat-singing “call & response”. Usually adults feel it difficult to do call & response but not children. Children are really good at it. They do it the instant Kazuko shows how to do it.  The show was really livened up and the atomosphere came into the nurse station. One nurse began to dance to scat-singing by All the children and mothers in the playroom. The ward became like a live house. We delivered the live show to every room too. The woman next to Kazuko is Machiko Okumura, a new member of SHJ in charge of artists’ assistant.

～NIKONIKO大使ガイのマジック・バルーン・ジャグリング~Magic Balloon & Juggling by Guy～

• けらけらけら〜という黄色い笑い声が溢れたプレイルーム。終わって片付けるガイさんの様子をみつめながら「楽しかった！今度はいつ来る？」と話しかける女の子。作ってもらったお花を大事そうに抱えて見送ってくれました。乳児室にはうさぎや鳥のバルーンをベッドの柵にとりつけて・・。個室に入院中の高校生は、お父様と一緒にマジックを楽しんでくれました。もちろん、高校生でもバルーンのプレゼント。ハーレーダビットソンのバルーンとは思えない精巧な作りにびっくり、そして喜んでくれました。
•  The children gathered in the playroom were laughing out loud throughout all Guy’s comical performance. “When will you come next time? I really enjoyed your show!” said the girl holding a balloon flower made by Guy. A high school boy staying in the private room enjoyed the magic with his father and was happy to get the balloon of Harley‐Davidson, which was so elaborate that the boy and his father were very surprised.
