It was my first hospital visit of 2026, and seeing the children\u2019s smiles made me very happy.<br><br>The hospital was much warmer than outside, and I wore a mask to prevent infections. Even in February, I was sweating<br><br>Since it\u2019s easy to lose a sense of the seasons inside a hospital, the nurses and volunteers decorate the walls with seasonal designs.<br><br>The blue characters on the wall (pictured here) are \u201cAo-oni,\u201d or blue demons. They are related to Setsubun, a traditional Japanese event on February 3rd that marks the end of winter.
